Current KYC (Know Your Customer) solutions employed by large organisations are outdated and inadequate for discovering modern threats from fraudulent actors. As synthetic and deep fake identities continue to grow in scale and intelligence, we require more advanced solutions that can dynamically adjust to new threats and deliver greater accuracy in identifying fraudulent activity. A key requirement is to test the ‘liveness’ of applicants to prevent deep fake and synthetic identities.
In particular, the advancement in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Data Science, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Knowledge Representation, Software-as-a-Service and more, has the potential to transform the Identity Verification process in fundamental ways. The core of the idea for AI-enabled Identity Verification Stream is to advance the scientific understanding of applications of Artificial Intelligence in Identity Verification and to propose the new generation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) enabled solutions for businesses to automatically verify the identity of their clients and assessing clients’ suitability.
